On the morning of Nov 6th just before 9 am we all took a big sigh of relieve. The state of Colorado voted down Prop 127 and showed us all that with good information, honesty and science backing us up they were able to digest both sides of this issue and make the decision to VOTE NO!!! This is a triumph and Houndsmen across this state will be able to continue our loved tradition of hunting behind trailing hounds.
One thing very important to understand is that this effort was not easy and there is a select group of individuals at UHC that were absolutely instrumental in aiding in defeating this bill. Our leadership team at UHC has sacrificed so much in the last 15 months. Whether it was time spent away from their families or stuck on the phone networking and working towards our collective goals, driving to meetings or rallies, organizing and working our public functions, advocating in person and educating in our communities, as well as a lot of time spent educating ourselves to be more knowledgeable and more capable. A lot of us have contributed everything we could by Nov 5th and we are all happy to have done it. These folks held strong in the face of an impossible seeming fight, we were told we'd never get certain things done or ever be able to defeat this bill, and I'm very proud to say we humbled ALL the nay-sayers and have built a truly impressive and capable organization and for that I'm eternally grateful to this team. I want to recognize our team, and in no particular order-
Vice President- Kody Lostroh
Secretary Treasure- Naomi Hersh
Front Range District Officer- John Allis
Western Slope District Officer-Scott Daugherty
Board Members- Seth Brandstetter Dave Accashian
Alysse Daugherty
Carly Sherman
Robert Chase
Shelby Chase
Scott Young
These folks are true hero's and deserve every ounce of respect and admiration from the hound hunting community in Colorado. In the near future I will be writing a series of appreciation letters to the individuals and organizations that contributed in protecting our hunting rights.
Congrats to all on this hard fought victory but know and understand we are not done yet. We need to strive hard to continue to beat these radicals back further, ways you can help is to start attending the commission meetings in Colorado as well as following, joining and sharing in all things UHC.
To all who assisted us at UHC thank you so much, you helped save all our lives.

How do we stop this from happening again
Thank you all
